Arcelio Alberto Hernández Mussio is a Costa Rican attorney, notary public, official translator, interpreter, and author whose professional career combines legal practice, language expertise, academic work, and public service.

He holds a degree in Law and Notary Public and a Professional Master’s Degree in Diplomacy. His academic and professional formation reflects a strong international component, supported by advanced language studies and a long-standing commitment to excellence in both legal and linguistic fields.

Mr. Hernández Mussio has practiced law and notarial services independently for more than two decades. Throughout his career, he has advised clients on a broad range of legal matters and has extensive experience in the preparation of public deeds, mortgages, releases of mortgages, property transfers, segregations, condominium constitutions, and other specialized legal instruments. He is the founder and president of Derecho y Familia Abogados, a firm through which he has built a reputation for careful legal analysis, practical solutions, and close professional attention to each client’s needs.

In addition to his legal practice, he has served for many years as an official translator and interpreter of the English language, combining legal precision with linguistic expertise. This dual professional profile allows him to assist individuals, families, and institutions in matters that require both technical legal knowledge and high-level language skills, particularly in international or cross-border contexts.

His professional experience also includes academic leadership, university teaching, and public service. He has served as a professor, held academic administrative roles, and worked as a specialized advisor in the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Costa Rica.
